William Henry Jackson photograph collection, 1870-1878.

Collection consists of 85 photographs and 17 duplicate prints of the West taken by Jackson for the U.S. Geological and Geographical Survey of the Territories (1870-1878). Includes photographs of Colorado, Mexico, Montana, and Wyoming. Prints in box 4 are not identified as part of the Survey, but appear to be from roughly the same period.
